I'm Jasmine, a Chicago based photographer and painter. Art has always been a part of my life and has somehow, in one way or another, framed the way I see the world.

I have always been drawn to people and stories. I could sit and listen to you tell yours for hours. In the same vain, being behind my camera allows me to freeze a part of your story for future generations to come.

Eventually, my love of film photography (my preferred photography medium) led me to see the beauty and nostalgia of what I was capturing for my own family, and I wanted to see if I could make art that represented that feeling for others.

My current paintings are inspired by 35mm film photography and the colors, nostalgia, and feelings they evoke. I want to make art that is specific enough to feel like a memory, but one that could belong to anyone.
